Mirabelle Alexis Blare
Reincarnation of Mars
Nicknames: Belle
Gender: Female
Apparent Age: 17
What “Era” do they hail from? Modern/Iron Era
Hobbies Soccer, Clothes Shopping, Clubbing, and Reading
Insecurities, Flaws and Fears: Losing her parents like she did with her birth parents. Being Childish, Impatient, Intolerant, Selfish and Insensitive. (all listed why in history) Deep down in the bottoms pits of her heart: Mirabelle fears fire. (though she doesnt know it yet)
Personality: Mirabelle is a very cheerful person. Being active playing sports, she can be seen vibrant, loud and a little competitive. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude about her. She can be heard from a mile away when she laughs though she has been told numerous times that she needs to control the volume of her voice. She enjoys going out dancing with her friends, boasting her curvy good looks over other girls near her and at times grows impatient when an activity or event takes too long to either start or end. Mirabelle will sing to herself or whistle when she is extremely happy. She also has a tendency to skip as she walks when in a happy mood. When she becomes sad, Mirabelle will mope around, frowning at the event that caused her vibrant mood to vanish. She will be slow to respond, and will even drag her feet depending how lousy her mood is. Her temper is quiet, a lesson she learned as a child. Mirabelle used to be intolerant towards her parents, bring up her separation from her twin at inopportune times and such an act ended up getting her scolded by her parents. Now when she grows angry, she will become silent and distant. She will stare at the person intently who she is upset with or just ignore them until she hears an apology. Mirabelle used to be a brat to her parents. She would be intolerant of her separation from her twin brother and blame her parents for the misery she felt from him missing in her life. She refused to call them Mom and Dad and never once said she loved them. Grown up, Mirabelle no longer acts that way towards her parents. She has become respectful and loving towards them, becoming the daughter they always wanted. With her friends, Mirabelle is fun loving and joyous. She can be carefree as well. Compassionate towards her friends feeling, she listens to them when they have problems or questions and offers any solution that may come to mind.
Appearance: Mirabelle is average in height. She stands at five feet and five inches tall with her physique is athletically thin but very curvaceous. Her breasts came into full size when Mirabelle became fifteen coupled with her thin figure, her breasts stuck out like a pair of sore thumbs. The same is said for her ass. Mirabelle notices whenever she walks by a group of boys; they grow silent for a moment and stare. Flattering as it is, the attention her large breasts and round ass bring, only makes her feel awkward. She has wavy, dark copper red hair that falls just past her shoulders. While Mirabelle, with Carolynn's help, enjoys styling her hair in many different ways, in the end she just prefers to throw it into a pony tail and tie it off with a bow.
Mirabelle's eyes are an emerald green, an easy sign of her Irish heritage. Combined with her long lashes, Mirabelle enjoys throwing an occasional wink at a cute boy just to see what kind of reaction she'll get. Most of the time, it's the wrong reaction and will have to kindly tell someone she's not interest or she's busy.
Her lips are medium fullness and always lipstick a light pink. She always wears a friendly and warm smile but when she gets focused or angry, they purse together in a tight frown as she concentrates on whatever is at hand. She doesn’t generally coat herself in make-up, but she will wear a very light foundation because of her light and fair skin. She has only a few freckles underneath her eyes but her emerald eyes draw people away from them. Her skin is soft and smooth, a clear sign of the amount of lotion she rubs onto herself each day. She does keep herself well shaven throughout her whole body.
Mirabelle's fashion style varies from a halter/tube tops, jean shirts and sandals to pretty sun dresses of vibrant colors with heels. She has an arrangement of jean skirts and suede boots with fleece tops for warm summer nights.
The majority of Mirabelle's clothes are colored more on the warmer side of the color spectrum. She mostly likes to wear pinks, reds, yellows, whites, oranges and reds. She matches her foot wear wearing sandals most of the time over sneakers. During the winter time, she has an arrangement of coats, scarves, gloves, hats and sweaters tied into her color theme. She prefers to wear bright snow boots.
Her parents wanted to make sure Mirabelle had a variety of clothing to wear make sure she could never say she had nothing to wear. However, in the back of her closet stowed away in a travel bag are a few cocktail dresses with six inch heels. While Mirabelle feels bad for not telling her parents she has these clothes, she also knows they would never let her have them.
Family and Close Ties:
Jeffery Blare, Attorney at Law. Despite ruff beginnings (see history for deatils) Mirabelle's relationship with her father is best described as a King adoring his little Princess. While not consistantly spoiling the girl with every trinket that sparkles in her eye, Jeffery made a commitment to himself and to Mirabelle to always be there for his adopted daughter. Deciding that both he and Carolynn being constantly away at work would not suffice, Jeffery moved his office out of the Law Firm branch to which he is associated with and into the home from which they all reside. Much to Carolynn's relief, this allowed someone to always be at home should Mirabelle need them. Jeffery tries not to be too firm with Mirabelle, but now that his little girl is in her teens, he is constatnly asking that Mirabelle at least keep in contact with himself or her mother so that both parents can be relived that their daughter is always safe.
Kathrynn Blare, Medical Doctor. Despite ruff beginnings (see history for details) Mirabelle and her mother's bond is as strong as steel itself. Despite being a busy Medical Internalist at Pomona Valley Medical Center, Carolynn would always make room for Mirabelle in her life. When she was little, having Jeffery at home made the ability to leave her in his care easier on Carolynn's busy work schedule but she would always pay attention to her little girl everytime she was at home. Now that Mirabelle is in her teens, Carolynn always halts her medical work so she can listen to the girl's problems or simply want to go out and gossip. Not acting as her best friend, but rather as a supportive and caring mother that Mirabelle so desperately needed in her life.
Jeffery and Carolynn love one another as much as a married couple can but both always made sure to never leave Mirabelle out of their lives. They both did best to include Mirabelle in thoughts and feelings and the love they share for each other, is also shared with Mirabelle. Both can be very busy very quickly, Jeffery working from home quite a lot for the Legal Firm and Carolynn always rushing out of the house at odd hours of the night becase of emergency calls from the hospital; such responsibilties do put quite the strain on their marriage but at the end of the day, the couple always look to Mirabelle as their uniting factor as a family.
Mirabelle had a fraternal brother back in Dublin. Unfortunately, due to a fire, he is presumed dead.
Despite their busy, odd schedules and professional lives; the Blares always take time to spend with each other several months a year. Because of their wealthy status, the Blares own a home up on the lower foothills of Claremont, not necessarily far from the busy downtown of the simple city but enough away to feel less crowded by their neighbors.
History:
Mirabelle Alexis Blare, once known as Mirabelle Alexis Williamsburg when she was a child; was born in the capital city of Dublin, Ireland. Her father was James Williamsburg, an English businessman who visited Ireland on a business trip, chose to stay and become a citizen when he met his wife. Kathrynn Williamsburg was a local who worked bakery shop and became fascinated with James when they met. They we'd two years later and gave birth to two children. Mirabelle was one of two children the married couple had and her fraternal brother was the other.
Despite being fraternal twins, the twins had very little resemblance to each other. Their facial features may appear similar some but different hair, eyes and skin tones were of different color. For starters, her brother's was a dirty blonde while Mirabelle's was dark copper red. Mirabelle’s eyes were an emerald green, while her brothers were mud brown. Life for the children was peaceful and Mirabelle enjoyed a rather memorable child. However this bliss did not last. A week before the children's sixth birthday, on a dark and stormy evening, James and Kathrynn left to go to a Ball held by James's company. The children were left in the care of their next door neighbor’s eldest daughter.
Halfway through the night, a knock came to the door. The Local Constables were standing in the doorway when the sitter answered and became the bearer of bad news. The children's parents had been killed in a car accident from a random drunk driver. The officers told the sitter the children were now orphans and would have to be moved to an orphanage as there were no relatives that were known to the children. Mirabelle didn't understand the meaning of the event, but her brother did.
Two days later the children were picked up by social services and taken to an orphanage two hours away from Dublin. For the next two years, Mirabelle and her brother lived at the orphanage. The adjustment to orphan life was tough for Mirabelle. She missed her mother and father and wept for them every day for the first month they were there. Her brother, however, refused to be separated from his sister and so the two were allowed to stay in the same room together. At least for the moment, as the nuns had warned him.
Mirabelle was grateful to have her brother with her. He felt it was his responsibility to protect twin his sister. He would defend her when kids picked on her and even got into a few fights saving her bullies. Mirabelle knew it was out of love, but the nuns felt that he was becoming problem causer and the Mother Superior deemed Mirabelle’s brother unadoptable.
As strong as the twins bond was as brother and sister, but their bond would soon be broken. On one sunny summer morning, a newlywed couple named Jeffery and Carolynn Blare came to the orphanage. The couple were in the country vacationing on behalf of Jeffry's lawfirm but had other plans during their three month stay. As it was known to them, Carolynn was unable to conceive children of her own due to cancer that had developed in her Uterus. Mirabelle liked the couple while her brother was hesitant and cautious around them. Spending a few hours on a picnic with the newlyweds, Jeffery asked Mirabelle’s brother why he had been so distant around Carolynn and himself.
Her brother didn't answer right away but a few minutes later, while Carolynn and Mirabelle were away picking flowers from a nearby field; he confessed that he did not want to be separated from his sister. He told Jeffery that Mirabelle was all he had left in his life after their parents died and he didn't want to lose her as well. Jeffery listened carefully and placing a reassuring hand on the boy's shoulder, stating that they would never dream of splitting the two up. It's was just too cruel in Jeffery's opinion and Mirabelle’s brother felt relieved by Jeffrey’s comment.
Two months passed by and the Blares came every weekend to visit the children. The newlyweds lived a few short hours away and felt the drive was well worth the time to spend with twins. The twins became very comfortable with the Blares that at the end of the second month, Jeffery and Carolynn asked if the twins wanted to be adopted by them. The reason they were asking so quickly, at least to the Blare's it felt fast, was that Carolynn had been accepted into the residency program at Pomona Valley MEdical Center in Pomona, California. The Blares revealed that they were both Americans and had come to Ireland to look to adopt, and vacation some during the search. The acceptance of the residency back in the States meant that the visits from the couple would become far less frequent or halt completely.
The twins were shocked at the idea of moving to another country, but the couple promised them that they would do all they can to make the twins as comfortable as possible to the major adjustment. Talking it over, the two agreed to go with the Blare's to Claremont, California. Thrilled to hear the acceptance, Jeffery and Carolynn told the pair that they would start the paperwork right away to get the two adopted. Jeffery, being spearheaded the legal process of the adoption while Carolynn maintained the bond with the children. When Jeffery was free, he and Carolynn took the twins out every weekend whether it was out to lunch/dinner, to movies, the local carnival or just to the local sights and tourist areas within the small country.
As Jeffery was nearing the completion of the legal paperwork process, the Mother Superior felt it was necessary to interject that she strongly felt that Mirabelle’s brother should not be adopted along with his sister. The Nun explained to Jeffery of the numerous incidents that he had caused during the time the children were staying at the orphanage. Being the strict person that she was, she informed Jeffery that Mirabelle could be adopted but her brother would not be allowed at the time. Jeffery refused to accept the terms but the Mother Superior stated that it was either the girl or no children at all. Jeffery, as good of a attorney as he was, knew he was losing the argument but stated that he would fight her decision at any cost. Crushed, Jeffery came home and told the news to his wife.
The day for the children's adoption came and both parties had been up since dawn preparing for their eventual union as a family. As Jeffery and Carolynn came to the orphanage, which the children would hope it would be their last stay, they rushed to greet the couple. Thrilled to see them both, Carolynn greeted them while Jeffery stepped into an office to finish the paperwork. Twenties minutes later, Jeffery came back out. The smile on his face was gone but a nasty grin was on the Mother Superior's face. Jeffery looked to Mirabelle and smiled slightly. Her brother knew. He couldn’t believe it but he knew what was happening.
Mirabelle recalled her brother screaming in protest, calling Jeffery a liar and the Nuns monsters. Mirabelle looked at him in sorrow. She couldn't understand why this was happening. Jeffery kneeled and grabbed her brother by his shoulders and hugged the boy tightly. He fought and squirmed to free himself but froze as Jeffery spoke to him. Mirabelle looked at Carolynn in puzzlement and the woman looked back down at her smiling softly. Mirabelle started to ask but Carolynn interrupted her saying she would tell the girl at a later time.
She watched as her brother became calm. Mirabelle didn't understand how but he was calm, his eyes were filled with tears but a smile was on his face. Jeffery nodded to make sure the boy understood and he answered with a soft "Yes". An assistant Nun took the boy's hand and held it. Jeffery collected Mirabelle's belongings as Carolynn picked her up. All too late did Mirabelle realize that only she was being adopted that day and not her brother. Mirabelle started to cry and screamed asking not to be separated from her brother. Carolynn held her tight as the trio left, Mirabelle futilely reaching out for her brother as she was carried out. He just stood with the Nun holding his hand waving goodbye as he cried.
The local police had been called to make sure the adoption was trouble free. After being loaded into the car, Mirabelle begged her new parents to go back for her brother. Carolynn reached back from the front seat and gently put her hand on Mirabelle's cheek, "This was his choice. That is what he told Jeffery," she told Mirabelle. Her cries stopped. It was his choice. She didn't understand. They made sure they would not be broken up, that they would NEVER be split up. Mirabelle turned around and looked at the orphanage she had spent her childhood in. She watched as the police were talking to the Nuns as their car started to drive away.
The last memory Mirabelle has of her brother was him running out of the orphanage to chase after her, being grabbed and held by an officer and screaming her name. This memory still haunts her to this day.
Mirabelle now lives with her new adoptive parents since that day. Her father was a former Olympic fencer who runs now his Legal Practice from home. Her mother, after completing her residency, became the newest on staff MD working at Pomona Valley Medical Center. Moving to back Claremont, Ca was a bit of a change for Mirabelle. She was used to the green spacious countryside of Ireland. While Claremont had the small and quaint feel that the Dublin area had, a more modern dense feel to the city seemed so foregin to her. Her parents chose to remain in Claremont because of the permanent staffing position that was offered to Carolynn at Pomona Valley. She has been working at the Hospital since.
Mirabelle's relationship with her new parents has been anything but smooth. Gone were the days of the carefree joyous child with bright eyes and big smiles. She couldn't cope with her separation from her brother, often times spilling her anger onto her parents. She often told them that she would have been happier being left at the orphanage and that she wished she had never met the Blare's. Only on rare occasions did Mirabelle throw a tantrum, normally it was when her birthday came around. She never told Jeffery or Carolynn she loved them. Never once called them Mom or Dad.
She never forgot about her brother. Every year on her birthday she would spend an hour or two looking through old photos of her and her brother together. She missed him dearly and her parents saw how truly strong their bond truly was. The two wrote to each other every month for two years after Mirabelle was adopted. From what she could understand, her brother was still at the orphanage. During her first year with the Blare's, they took Mirabelle back to Dublin as a surprise birthday present. She was thrilled to see her twin safe and well. Jeffery revealed that he was battling the orphanage’s adoption refusal in the local courts. He told the twins that the process was long, as he began the appeal right after Mirabelle's was adopted, but told the two that he would win the case so the pair could be brother and sister again. After returning home, the two continued to write to each other.
During the second year, her brother didn't send a response letter one month and Mirabelle got worried. She asked her parents if they could find out what happened and when Jeffery called the orphanage, the line was disconnected. He then called the city clerk’s office and the clerk told him the orphanage burned down several weeks prior. Mirabelle's heart sank. It seemed the fire started during the middle of the night and though it was put out, it seemed that several of the children did not make it out. Their corpses were too badly burned to be recognized. The coroner was still working to identify the remains via dental records. Mirabelle's childhood world shattered at this point. She felt as though part of her was torn away, realizing she would never see her brother again.
Jeffery and Carolynn encouraged Mirabelle to spend as much as she wanted with the neighborhood kids. Mostly, they wanted her to have friends she could spend her childhood with, but also to help get her mind off her brother. They signed Mirabelle up on the local youth sports teams. At first, Mirabelle's passive nature as a twin made it difficult for her to enjoy the sports she played, so her parents switched her over to the sports league the neighborhood children were in. This seemed to help her become more confident with herself and create a strong bond with children she played with. Mirabelle's favorite sport was soccer and she excelled at it. The youth teams she was on did not always win games or go to championships, but Mirabelle knew she was one of the better players and she enjoyed it.
Just before hitting high school, Mirabelle came to the realization how incredibly insensitive she had been to her parents. They had adopted her, taken her into their home and showered her in gifts and love but not once did she offer them anything back. One day on Jeffery and Carolynn's wedding anniversary, Mirabelle came into the kitchen and hugged Carolynn. She burst into tears suddenly. Jeffery and Carolynn became gravely concerned and asked her what the problem was. Tear stricken and trying to control her sobbing, Mirabelle told her parents how terrible of a daughter she was them. They had treated her with kindness and she never returned the feelings.
Mirabelle had been selfish, intolerant and impatient towards them. She was intolerant because she refused to adjust to her new surroundings and her new family. At first, she didn’t leave the house or her room for that matter but the sounds of the children playing in the neighborhood peak her interest, Mirabelle started to go outside more often. She refused to listen to the Blares and spoke hurtful words to them both, refusing to accept them as her parents, stating that the Blares could never be her parents. She was selfish because she would spend more time with her new friends rather than with her parents. Even at family dinners, she was forced to sit at the table, but she never really spoke to Jeffery and Carolynn. Mirabelle would only eat her dinner quickly and then excuse herself. Her parents gave her gifts, toys, clothes and not once had she said Thank You.
Mirabelle's impatience was directed at a number of sources. The largest factor of her impatience came from the yearning of her brother. During the time Jeffery stated he was trying to get him adopted, Mirabelle would consistently pester Jeffery about when her brother would come. While Jeffery was a patient man, the girl became a minor annoyance at times about the issue. He soon told Mirabelle that every time she asked about when her brother would join their family, she was really pushing back the day for when he arrive. This tactic worked and Mirabelle never pestered again. Towards her studies, Mirabelle's impatience turned into frustration.
When Mirabelle became stuck on a question or a problem or when she had difficulty with her language studies, she would groan loudly and start flipping through her texts books wildly. Jeffery and Carolynn came to recognize this sound and every time they heard it, one of the two would come over and help the girl.
Mirabelle begged for her parent’s forgiveness. She told them that she had come to realize that the Blares did so much for her and she had not returned their feelings. Sinking to her knees with Carolynn holding on for support, Mirabelle told her parents how sorry she was for her childish actions, for her harsh words and neglectful actions. She told them that she did love them and called the Blares Mom and Dad. Mirabelle even agreed to change her name to Blare.
Carolynn and Jeffery were thrilled. Mirabelle had developed into the daughter they had always wanted her to be. They forgave Mirabelle and told her that they understood her feelings. That the change in her life was difficult to cope with and knew it would take time for the girl to adjust. Both parents told Mirabelle that they loved her too and that they were proud to have her as their daughter. Jeffery told Mirabelle that no matter what problems the future would bring, the trio would handle it together as a family. How right he was…
Mirabelle’s attitude changed since that day. She had become more cheerful and joyous, like the child she was back in Dublin. Jeffery and Carolynn were happy to see her change and knew they were raising her properly. Mirabelle also became more confident in her activities, playing more competitive on her sports teams, being adventurous with her friends. She would go away for weekends for sleepovers and trips with her friend’s families. She would even invite a friend with her when the Blares went on vacation.
Mirabelle started high school like any other normal and average teenager. Working very hard on her studies she strived to excel in her classes, her grades mostly consisted of A's and B's. While Mirabelle felt she could do better, her parents told her not to overstrain herself. She kept herself busy with various afterschool activities: playing soccer in the fall, volleyball in the winter and softball in the spring. She also took up a job as a waitress at the Millennium Arcade this past summer to help earn some extra spending money. This of course was squeezed in between summer school during the earlier part of the summer. Mirabelle would at least work five times a week during the summer but after school started, she reduced her hours down to weekends only. The last thing she wanted was for her work to interfere with her studies.
Now as a senior in High School, Mirabelle is attending Claremont High School and she wants to attend the Claremont Colleges unpon graduating but her parents are having difficulty affording the overly steep tuition cost. Mirabelle applied for several academic/sports scholarships in hopes that she could be sponsored to attend the prestigious University and is eagerly awaiting for the responses on her applications.
