So, there's a high chance I may have come down with the mumps. My stepmom (who's now a retired nurse) knows all the signs rather well and I pretty much have all of them. Left side of face is swollen I can barely hear out of my left ear and anything overly acidic (lemon/pickles) burns my throat to the extreme. I'm not entirely sure yet but I'm going to the doctor in the morning so I can get it checked out. I'm kind of worried as I didn't know that adults could get this so I'm hoping I can get over it fast because right now it's kicking my ass and making me feel like crap.
I'll keep you guys updated
-Sam

Antibiotics.....
Antibiotics.....
ANTIBIOTICS!
Go see your doctor or visit an urgent care and get a prescription ASAP. The sooner you get started on medication the sooner you can prevent it from getting worse.
Feel better.

WebMD says most people get over it in about 10 days, so hopefully you won't have too much longer before you feel better. Just try to stay away from people as much a possible so you don't spread it, and if the doctor gives you any meds be sure to take them like you should. Hope everything will be all right soon.
