Right!
Two months into our game and we're barely scratching a surface. Partly because we are all polite, wonderful people who believe in post order.
~Punts post order out the nearest window~ NEW RULES:
You can post twice in a thread before waiting for the other silly people in your threads. Twice. Then you wait 24 hours and you can post twice again. Other people don't post- well frankly that's their problem.
........
Need something to do? Struggling with your character's choices? Let me spell out some of the MANY plot lines floating around that really should be motivating your characters a little more then o.O.
For Heroes:
- Find Sailor Moon OR Endymion. As a Senshi or knight, some pull or tug should be pointing you to go out and join up. I'm going to be sending in a guardian herder-animal to help point people in a direction and drive ya'll a bit toward some kind fo goal because there is a little bit of stangation...
- There are 4 pieces of a silver crystal broken and shattered and disguised. Two characters hold two pieces, but there are two still out there.
- What's really going on here?
Yes you should have time to socialize and get organized as a hero set, but Koharu- if not the other villains- will start appearing to "encourage" you to get a move on....
For Villians.
Koharu will be stepping forward as the directional leader here if one of the other's doesn't set up. Why? Because One way to get both heros and villians MOVING is to have someone Villianish MOVING FIRST. So. Koharu is my evil minion working with goals of her own that she wants to accomplish and she'll do them.
Likewise there are other "forces" that are working toward their own goals and expectations. Even if your just fartin' around my Villian buddies or holding pissing contests to see who chaos loves most, the fact of it is there are crystal points that must be gotten and conquered if Chaos is going to win. And Chaos, damnit, Wants to Win. She and Koharu will start pushing that toward her avatars more directly with in the next week.
------------
For the future.
Koharu is actively working in character to bring in CROWN CLOWN. Do not want Kat playing this villain? STOP KOHARU.
Bakar is actively going to be working with Diamond and the villians to bring about a new golden era --or-- travel back in time to try to save his beloved Amaterasu. Why? Because Hime hasn't made Fumiko and because, well why not?
The Silver Crystal is one of the best instant-purifications against Chaos in the universe. It's also broken. Sailor Moon, or Astra, is also thus broken because she doesn't have the silver crystal. She's wandering the desert. She can wander teh desert until the cows come home for all I care. You people get the ... dubious privillage.. of CHOOSING your own sailor moon. You can choose Astra - save hte silver crystal and toss it back to her... or you can choose Kat's Elizabetta who's covering the role of Sailor Moon... You can even choose to purify and save Chibi Usa (Sam's character) to become the next functioning sailor moon...
Because Ultimately..
April 1st is looming closer and closer. Even if you all don't get much accomplished in character- it doesn't change the fact the DATE is coming when EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE AGAIN... And the staff has been waiting, on baited breath, for some desisions on where we take the game next.
... Oh ho... You think that means, as a player, you probably don't have much voice in what the "staff" is going to do next.
LIES.
LIES.
You are all storytellers here, my friends. I listen to you ooc, and more importantly, I listen to you IC. I try to bring you games YOU all enjoy... Sometimes someone's enjoyment might not be your cup o' tea. That's ok. For the most part everyone in our game is trying to get some aspect of what they want- or at least, I'm attempting to bring it to that level. I think most people are attempting to do that too.
... So... That leads us up to point.. four? Five?
... WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO FROM HERE?
We have talked, OOC, in staff chat and various private chats wheN i could grab people to mutter at--- where do we want to go from here? what 'interests' our gaming group--- that is all of you-- -and what 'we' want to play. Screw the outside world and "potential future players" let's talk about US for a minute.
What do WE want to do?
Well, From what feedback I've gotten there is a lot of interest in world building. OUR world--- or worlds? Sailor Moon has always had an interesting point that people build power. Case and Point, Sailor Moon herself only gets as much power as her friends put into her. Friends who, to some extent or another, are also royalty who- realistically- also probably got power out of the people of their entire planets. Goodness knows Sailor Moon Canon once again fires about how individuals can add power to Sailor Moon and Various people in teh series... So...
Who wants to go world building ?
This is still VERY much in "early planning stages" ... but the basic concept is this...
In the Solar Millennium- that is the "filler" millennium I created to answer some unanswered questions in sailor moon--- there is a spaceship (The Sol Rhapsody) that brings colonists into a new solar system. Multiple noble families came over with their houses to establish colonies on various worlds. Each "House" had it's own "thought process" and way it wanted to "do things" in the world... And the Moon was established as a scientists haven because they wanted to study the crystal structure in what would become the moon prayer room. (Where the "Crystals" were found and chiseled out to create powerful magical artifacts...)
This would be the "perfect" platform for world building- not just in singular worlds and households, but how they all interacted with both goods and services between planets. For example, Uranus and Neptune pretty much had the power- and ways to put atmospheres and water onto planets otherwise not able to have them. (Or moons in the case of some planets that are made up of... well.. gas.. ) There are palaces that orbit each planet- in sailor moon canon- that we'd also similarly use here, but of course they'd be works in progress.
Players would be able to choose a "house" and each "house" would have a family like structure for the nobility. (Cousins may hate eachother, brothers, sisters, parents..etc..) and then each house would have, of course, two guardians. One knight, One senshi.
Now in the original timeline they didn't have the Senshi- they didn't awaken until the Silver Millennium... Oh and there was a tenth planet between Mars and Jupiter where Amaterasu and her court lived- and ruled. But we're making a few "wigglies" for the sake of having girls be able to play senshi...
The "Ruler" of the planet doesn't have to be a knight or senshi-- though they should be of some relation. (A cousin, a brother, a parent, etc). (There is of course, some exceptions... Saturn, for example in the Sol Millennium I created, was ruled by Bakar because of the way their belief system went. Even though Bakar himself was... less then pleased to be a king as well as a bodyguard to Amaterasu.)
... So I bet your asking...
But Joy.. we won't have any reason to play in each others houses as minor characters..
Well yes, yes you would. Player characters get their own thoughts and actions. "Mobs" would be one action in a battle that just is everywhere.. And each PC gets a mob. So the MORE PC's you have on a planet, the more "Mobs" you will also have. Some planets will thus have more people, and others will have more resources, and still others just more magical Whomping. (See Pluto, See Pluto.. run..)
There are of course other plotlines we can explore- like having a group of characters directly flomp down from the Cauldron into a current timeline and "adjust" the things going on in that world.
We can have all the poor kids decide "You know this endless chaos/cosmos cycle isn't for us, we would like to go somewhere else" and change games - and styles... poor characters would have to change dramatically but that's life sometimes...
etc. etc. etc.
So get talking. Get discussing. Where do YOU WAnt this game to go? How do you think we should get there?
And then talk to us people... Sam, Kat, Nick and I aren't exactly hiding no?
~ Joy

I did notice the uptick in posting <3 Thank you.
